Terms & Conditions
The terms for using this website, and the terms that apply if you engage us for work.

Note for the site owner: this document describes what this website actually does and is a solid starting point, but it is not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it against your final practices before you launch — then set NEXT_PUBLIC_LEGAL_REVIEWED=true to hide this notice. Visitors can see this box.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Tavansa, a digital services business based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. By using this website or engaging us for work, you agree to them.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, submit false information through its forms, or use automated tools to scrape it at a volume that affects other visitors.
The design, text, images, code and structure of this website belong to Tavansa. You are welcome to quote or link to our articles with attribution. Please do not republish them wholesale.
3. Information on this website
We work hard to keep everything here accurate, and we correct mistakes when we find them. But the content — including the articles in our Insights section — is general information, not advice tailored to your business. Decisions you take based on it are your own.
The projects shown in our portfolio are labelled Concept Project or Sample Design. They are illustrations of what we can build, not records of completed client work.
4. Pricing
Prices published on this website are starting prices. They indicate the typical entry point for that kind of work, and are not an offer or a quotation. Your price depends on scope and is confirmed in a written quote before any work begins.
- All prices are exclusive of GST, which is added to every invoice.
- Advertising spend, domain registration, third-party software licences and paid stock assets are additional and billed at cost.
- We may change published prices at any time. A price already quoted to you in writing is held for 30 days.
5. How work is agreed
Before work starts you will receive a written proposal setting out the scope, the price, the timeline and the payment schedule. Work begins once you accept it in writing and the initial payment is received.
Anything outside the agreed scope is a change request. We will tell you the cost and the effect on the timeline before we do it — never after.
6. Payment
- Setup fees are typically split: part on acceptance, the balance before launch.
- Monthly fees are billed in advance, at the start of each month.
- Invoices are payable within 7 days unless the proposal says otherwise.
- Work may be paused on accounts more than 15 days overdue. We will always contact you before pausing anything.
7. Your responsibilities
To do our job we need some things from you, and delays here delay the project:
- Content, photos, logos and business details that you have the right to use
- Access to accounts we need, such as your domain, hosting or Google Business Profile
- Feedback within a reasonable period at each review stage
- A single point of contact who can make decisions
You confirm that anything you give us does not infringe someone else’s rights, and that any claims you ask us to publish about your business are accurate.
8. Timelines
Timelines in a proposal are good-faith estimates based on receiving what we need on time. They are not guarantees. If something is going to slip, we will tell you before the deadline passes rather than after.
9. Ownership
On full payment, you own:
- Your domain name, registered in your business name
- The content, copy and images created for your project
- The website or application built for you, including its source code
- Your customer and enquiry data, which you can export at any time
We keep ownership of our own underlying tools, component libraries, templates and techniques, which we reuse across projects. We may reference your project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Third-party components — fonts, plugins, stock assets — remain under their own licences, which we will tell you about.
10. Ongoing plans and cancellation
- Monthly plans run for an initial period of three months.
- After that they continue month to month.
- Either of us can end a monthly plan with 30 days written notice.
- If you leave, we hand over your website, content, accounts and data. We do not hold anything back.
- Fees already paid for a period that has begun are not refundable.
11. What we do not promise
This matters, so it is stated plainly. Digital marketing results depend on your market, your competitors, your pricing, your offer and how search engines and platforms behave — none of which we control.
- We do not guarantee any specific search ranking position.
- We do not guarantee a number of enquiries, leads, customers or any revenue figure.
- We do not guarantee results from advertising platforms, and we are not responsible for their decisions, outages or policy changes.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted hosting. We will work to restore service quickly when something breaks.
Anyone who does guarantee those things is not being straight with you.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service the claim relates to, in the three months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost business or lost data. This does not limit liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Confidentiality
We keep your business information confidential and use it only to do the work you engaged us for. We expect the same in return for anything we share with you.
14. Ending an engagement
Either of us may end a project if the other materially breaches these terms and does not fix it within 14 days of being told. On termination you pay for work completed up to that point, and we hand over everything that belongs to you.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, both of us agree to try to resolve the matter by discussion in good faith.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one in force when your proposal was accepted. Changes affecting an ongoing plan take effect 30 days after we tell you.
